Musqueam artists Chrystal Sparrow and Christopher Sparrow grew up on the Coast Salish seas with their grandfather, dad and uncles fishing and hunting. Their upbringing inspired their artwork which is dedicated to Salish design and culture. Chrystal and Christopher are third-generation artists taught by their late father, master Coast Salish artist, Irving Sparrow. In 2006, Chrystal won a YVR Art Foundation Scholarship, and one of her carvings was selected for the 2010 Olympic Committee boardroom in Vancouver, BC. Christopher has over 24 years of carving experience and has placed 1st and 2nd in the Transformations on the Shore carving contest.

Starbucks is partnering with the Pacific Community Resources Society (PCRS) in Vancouver to provide support for youth who need extra help finding meaningful employment. PCRS has been serving Lower Mainland communities since 1984, by providing a range of services including education programs, employment, housing, and addiction counselling and prevention programs for youth, adults, and families.
